Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.100 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Go to https://www.papinho.com 2. Enter on one room, start recording a voice message and press send. 3. Press play to listen the audio message. What is the expected behavior? The voice message should be recorded also with the internal microphone (as it is working on Firefox). Chrome block internal microphone on Mobile and Desktop, so you can only record an audio with a external mic [but there is no advice]. What went wrong? The audio is always blank. Did this work before? No Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 61.0.3163.100 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version:

Can you provide more details about how you are calling getUserMedia and what is the user-preferred microphone on chrome://settings/content/microphone ? By default it will use the system default device, although you can override the default in chrome://settings/content/microphone.

Please, check the attach file Fr.voice.js, it show how it is calling getUserMedia; Doesn't matter how microphone user select at chrome://settings/content/microphone, it will only work if you have an external microphone.

I tested your Web site with a Windows laptop and it worked fine using the internal microphone. Perhaps it's an issue with your hardware. Can you provide more details with your hardware configuration? Also, can you try the following samples to see if they work well with your internal microphone? They work fine in the laptop I used for testing: https://webrtc.github.io/samples/src/content/getusermedia/volume/ https://webrtc.github.io/samples/src/content/devices/input-output/ https://webrtc.github.io/samples/src/content/getusermedia/record/

Can you also try https://webrtc.github.io/samples/src/content/getusermedia/volume/ ? I want to check if you're having problems with MediaRecording or with audio capture.

I tested the link [https://webrtc.github.io/samples/src/content/getusermedia/volume/] and if I speak they don't recognize, but, if I hit the internal microphone they recognize the hit sound [the bars move a little] on both browsers. [remember that the first one reconize my voice on record]

The test results in #15 suggests that the problem might be in MediaRecorder since the getUserMedia()-only test works well. Adding Blink>MediaRecording component so that the corresponding owner can take a look at this and request for further feedback. ttromm@: If you use the MediaRecording demo and hit the microphone, do you get any recording with Chrome? Also, if possible, please test with Chrome Canary in addition to stable and report all chrome-version/OS-version combinations where you find the problem.

Yes, it's stranger but if I hit the microphone on Chrome it record it only, and on Firefox it record the voice. Listen to attached audio files. Also downloaded Google Canary and obtain the same result.

So this is the situation: 1. The volume demo works fine when you hit the internal mic on both Firefox and Chrome. 2. The volume demo doesn't record your voice on neither Firefox nor Chrome. 3. The MediaRecording demo works when you hit the internal mic on both Firefox and Chrome. 4. The MediaRecording demo records your voice on Firefox but not on Chrome. Closing this bug as WontFix since this looks like an issue with your internal mic and not a problem with Chrome, especially if we take into account that we cannot reproduce it on our end using various laptops. Please reopen if you can provide a script that unequivocally reproduces a Chrome-specific problem. |
