Should webpages know when the DevTools panel is open?

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.100 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Go to https://animeflv.net/ver/47286/boruto-naruto-next-generations-28 2. Select "Netu" as video player 3. Open DevTools 4. Close DevTools What is the expected behavior? The website should not notice the use of DevTools What went wrong? They can notice it Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 61.0.3163.100 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 27.0 r0

jairo@ Thanks for the feedback. Able to reproduce the issue on Windows 7, Mac OS 10.12.6 using the latest Stable 61.0.3163.100 and Canary 63.0.3239.1. Issue not observed on Ubuntu 14.04. This is a Non-Regression issue as this issue is observed from M50 chrome builds. Hence marking this as 'Untriaged' for further updates from Dev. Thanks.

Thanks for report! We are not aiming to be 100% non detectable. But in this case let me advertise "Never pause here" feature: - at line where execution is paused in DevTools, click right button, - click "Never pause here", - resume execution and reload a page with DevTools. |
