[One-Touch Enrollment] Confusing error message when enrollment fails because of mixed licenses |
||
Issue descriptionObserved: When user has multiple types of licenses available, enrollment fails with the message: Oops! Something went really wrong while enrolling this device. Please try again or contact your support representative. Expected: The message should specify the correct reason of failure: Enrollment is not available with mixed type licenses. https://cs.chromium.org/chromium/src/chrome/browser/chromeos/login/screens/host_pairing_screen.cc?rcl=c194246059ac6684fd5a8fdf6abab6ebb5646fb4&l=193

It is unclear what is the repro sequence and expected result. Do you mean the message in the logs, or UI? Why did the enrollment fail due to mixed licenses? I know about Zero-Touch Enrollment, but I am not sure what is the "One-Touch Enrollment".

The bug refers to the UI message. One-Touch Enrollment is enrollment with Android application via Bluetooth. I think this is obsolete right now and can be closed. |
