Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.100 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: Cookies will not stay deleted in current chrome session. I can delete all cookies and it appears they are deleted. Then if I check again to see if there are any cookies (which there shouldn't be), all of the previously "deleted" cookies are right back where they were, apparently having never been deleted at all. If I close the browser, and reopen, then, and only then, do the cookies actually stay deleted. https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/chrome/0f9S1-9Xl54/8cckcX-HAwAJ;context-place=forum/chrome What is the expected behavior? Cookies deleted What went wrong? Cookies are still there Did this work before? Yes About 1 year ago Chrome version: 61.0.3163.100 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version:

Duplicate of Issue 765011 As the issue 765011 reports that they are unable to clear the cookies after clearing all the browsing data, here even in 773743 it speaks about clearing of cookies isn't completely done by browser, Hence duplicating.

To understand the issue better: What are you seeing that looks like cookies are not deleted? Do you not get signed out of websites? Could you check which data is shown on chrome://settings/content/cookies after a deletion?

I deleted all cookies via chrome://settings/clearBrowserData For "Clear the following items from" selected "the beginning of time" Selected Cookies and clicked "Clear browsing data" No change to the data on chrome://settings/content/cookies after a deletion I get signed out of websites. Maybe the cookies are deleted but the page is not updated? I tried to reload chrome://settings/content/cookies but the cookies are still there!

There is an issue with the cookies page showing deleted entries for some time or until restart. The actual data is deleted but the entry is not removed. The issue should be fixed in Chrome 63. If you can see remaining actual data or storage with more than 0kb on the cookies page, please upload a screenshot as this would be a different bug. |
