Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.100 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Create an html file with the following text: <html><body style="background: #455360;"> </body></html> 2. Open in Chrome 61. 3. Look at colors (doesn't reproduce on all systems) What is the expected behavior? Solid background color. What went wrong? Banding in background. See attachment. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 61.0.3163.100 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.12.5 Flash Version: This problem appeared on both my and my co-worker's Mac immediately after we updated to Chrome 61. He's on a recent MB Pro with High Sierra, I'm on a 2015 with Sierra. I saw https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=762222 but that specifies it's a Linux issue, and this is on OSX. I'm a developer and this bug is making our live web app look really strange on some computers/monitors. I don't know what specifically is triggering it (maybe some color configurations, but it was fine on Chrome 60 and still is on all other browsers I tried.

This is probably a color space issue. There are also known issues with High Sierra and certain GPUs that have been fixed in M-62. Please try Chrome Canary or wait a short while to get Chrome 62. If the problem persists let us know and look for any explicit color profiles on your machine.

Assuming color space issue was in fact to blame. Closing. |
