Sorry, I've been tied up the last few days, let me see...

Hi Preston, no work needed on your side for now. I've taken this on.

Comment 7 by ma...@chromium.org, Oct 13 2017

Unless you would like to contribute to Chromium, of course! :)
Haha, I'm probably good for now! Thanks for the offer, though! ;)
Regarding comment 2, this is definitely very badly implemented or broken (in Chromium 64.0.3282.167):
- The datalist is often positioned badly (i.e. in a direction that takes it offscreen, badly truncating it, when there was plenty of space onscreen)
- When the datalist is truncated by the screen, the scrollbars often disappear completely.
- When the datalist appears above the input, it is not scrollable at all - even with a mouse scroll button.

See a couple of examples.

I'd like to confirm that this is still a bug as of v. 66.0.3359.117.

As mentioned in crbug.com/838361 , this is fixed in 69.0.3484.0 by a CL that was landed this Friday. Please make sure you enable the new UI (by enabling flags #top-chrome-md = refresh, #secondary-ui-md = enabled and #enable-autofill-native-dropdown-views = enabled) to see the fix.
