Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3230.0 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. unzip the attached strava_repro.html 2. open the HTML file 3. Click on the "My Activities" dropdown menu button a few times 4. Notice the flashing as it tries to show the menu (but then disappears) 5. Notice that there are no errors in the console during this time What is the expected behavior? The dropdown menu should appear showing the other option. i.e. whilst "My Activities" is the current option, the menu should show "I'm following", and vice versa. What went wrong? The menu very briefly appears but then disappears. Did this work before? Yes Worked in previous version of Mac OS X from memory Chrome version: 63.0.3230.0 Channel: dev OS Version: OS X 10.13.0 Flash Version: MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) Mac OS X 10.13 (17A405) 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB This appears to be a problem in all versions of Chrome on Mac OS X High Sierra. Which I think points more towards it being a Mac upgrade issue than a Chrome issue? But honestly I'm guessing :) See attached screen recording for an example of what happens on my machine.

Able to reproduce the issue on reported version 63.0.3230.0, Latest Canary 63.0.3236.0 using Mac 10.12.6, Ubuntu 14.04 and Windows 10. This is a Non-Regression Issue as it is seen from M-50(50.0.2644.0), hence marking it as Untriaged.

Hi, thanks for the detailed report. I think this is an issue with the page itself. It's implementing it's own dropdown rather than using the native control and it looks like they got it wrong. I tried it out in both Firefox and Edge and saw the same issue so it will have to be fixed on their end. I'm going to close as there isn't anything to do on the browser-side here but feel free to chime in if I missed something.

Thank you for investigating. Just about the same time as your comment, something changed on the Strava website and everything now appears fixed. This appears to back up your argument that the website itself was to blame. So I think this can be closed. |
