Chrome renders text Grammarly flags as plagiarism in the Grammarly document editor as white instead of black even after I disable the plagiarism checker and Grammarly unflags said text.

Reported by doremylo...@gmail.com, Oct 7 2017

Issue description

Chrome Version : 61.0.3163.113 (Official Build) (64-bit)
URLs (if applicable) : app.grammarly.com
Other browsers tested: None
Add OK or FAIL, along with the version, after other browsers where you
have tested this issue:
     Safari:
    Firefox:
         IE:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upload a .docx file to Grammarly.
2. After uploading the document, enable the plagiarism checker. Make sure Grammarly can flag that many spots in the document's content as plagiarism.
3. After Grammarly flags the text it deems plagiarized, disable the plagiarism checker and observe how Chrome renders the previously flagged text by the code of the Grammarly editor web page.

What is the expected result?
The text is rendered and formatted like the other text in the document are, just like previous versions of Chrome OS did before.

What happens instead?
The text is rendered as white until I select them, in which they turn black again until I unselect them.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

Unable to triage this issue on reported version 61.0.3163.113 by following below steps as it requires premium account
1. Add Grammarly extension by going to app.grammarly.com

3. On the right navigation bar click on plagiarism (Ask's to upgrade to premium account)
If it's shareable, could you please provide test credentials, that would help in triaging the issue from TE-end
