Chrome Canary update causes homescreen icon to disappear

Chrome Version: 63.0.3233.3
OS: Android 8.0.0 on a Google Pixel with corp creds

Chrome Canary is my regular browser and I have an icon for it on my homescreen. In the most recent Chrome Canary push (I think 63.0.3233.3), as well as one earlier this week, my Chrome Canary homescreen icon disappeared after an update overnight.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Wait for Chrome Canary auto-update.
(2) Notice Chrome Canary icon is gone.

I am not sure if this was a hiccup somewhere or if it will continue. I've filed this to start tracking it.
