Video jerks while playing in Chrome

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.100 Safari/537.36

Example URL:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open video https://files.catbox.moe/xrheu7.mp4
2. Video "jerks" while playing

What is the expected behavior?
Video not "jerks" and playing smoothly.

This video working fine in desktop players I tested (MPC, VLC, WMP) and Firefox.

What went wrong?
Video "jerks" while playing

Did this work before? N/A 

Is it a problem with Flash or HTML5? HTML5

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 61.0.3163.100  Channel: stable
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version:

I found this video in internet. Is it "broken video" or is it Chrome bug?

pts/dts timestamps are probably wrong for this file. Frames are being decoded out of order even with Mac hardware decode.

Try running it through ffmpeg again with ffmpeg -i <file> -acodec copy -vcodec copy out.mp4

Doesn't help.

Okay, I got it, looks like it's broken video after all.

You might try adding the -genpts option, otherwise the file may need to be reencoded unfortuantely.
Also, FYI if you want to diagnose this in the future check out chrome://media-internals and look at the log. The linked video shows lots of frame drop warnings due to out of order arrival.
