I am resubmitting this defect report as this afternoon while in hangouts with kathy approx at 12:50 pm PST, this chromebook completely crashed. Not just hangouts, but the device was totally powered off.  

I no longer hear google hangouts ring when I call kathy, and I am noticing some odd screen  flashing- and my mouse is not properly selecting things, it "loses" text and it takes me 3 or 4 times to select what I am copying.

 I have always used control-F to find things in settings, and it works, EXCEPT now it doesn't for "java".  So to search for java settings, I now have to use the search bar (which is strange as it works just fine elsewhere ), but the search bar returns java as showing in customize fonts, I have never customized fonts or loaded anything fontwise from the web store, and I have noticed what seemed like poor quality fonts on a couple of these chromebooks, but haven't had a chance to mention it previously.   This is a very similar situation as what I uncovered when I spoke with apple devs about 2 weeks ago.  

Using chrome web dev, I found malware loaded on icloud-  A folder called PC, with gray images in the photo gallery-   I needed help removing them, and chromewebdev showed me that icloud said the system response was slow so it was loading these alternate fonts...  

Then the funniest thing (not) that I just discovered on my macbook pro was that dev settings had been turned on in safari.  And under develop it said open page with chrome, and under experimental features, only constant properties (Constant Properties - Constant properties are initialized at the time of creation and cannot be reinitialized, in other words, new values cannot be pushed. A constant property can be merged, concatenated, combined, zipped, sampled, filtered, and transformed. This iOS 11 Safari Experimental feature prevents you from changing settings in web pages with settings. In other words, preventing website modifications or the changing of their “properties” after they’ve loaded.) and viewport fit were selected. (Viewport Fit - Determine how content is laid out and where text wraps on the web page. The viewport can be larger or smaller than the visible area.) I have since changes those settings to more secure and beneficial properties

I have also found malware loaded in my images on my gmail accounts and wonder if perhaps this has something to do with this.  I was just able to recover my c.a. google account on icloud (i did not add this to icloud, someone else it doing it to every account i own-) and found a bunch of synced notes on c.a@gmail (on icloud) and the person sent google calendar notifications from this c.a@gmail icloud account to c.w. google account.  

These people adding my email accounts to every service and opening up settings as a free for all seems to me how this stuff is getting loaded.  I am working hard and all alone trying to advise all of you (Google-Microsoft-Apple-Facebook) of these issues, but Google, you are my main people.  I want to build beautiful websites again. I was making a good living before this, please help me get back on the web again-  help me do what I do best. I am spinning my wheels, chasing trolls.  This is a horrible way to live.  I am so invaded... I spent hours on the phone today paying my bills on the landline...   I am really miserable...  :(
