Regression: Element tab is seen blank after cancelling audit on NTP

Chrome Version: 62.0.3202.43/9901.35.0 Dev-channel  Kip, Celes & Peppy
OS: Chrome

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1)Open devtools on NTP
(2)Click on Perform an audit>> Run an Audit>> Cancel
(3)Navigate to Elements tab and observe.

Expected: Content of elements tab should be seen
Actual: Element tab appears blank

This is Regression issue as same is working fine in M-59(Old Audits UI) 

@paulirish : Please confirm the issue

Note:
1.Issue is seen in latest M-63 also
2.Issue is not applicable to Windows & Linux OS

Strange that this would be specific to Chrome OS though I don't think we need to block release on this.

Status: Fixed (was: Assigned)
Fixed at some point. Likely in may 2018

can't reproduce.
