Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.100 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Install XFENCE by F-Secure (This catches the attempt) 2. Open Chrome once XFENCE is active What is the expected behavior? XFENCE should not popup a dialog about Chrome requesting webcam access until the end user attempts to use the camera or microphone on a website such as Hangouts. What went wrong? A clean install of Chrome on a clean install of macOS will immediately attempt webcam access once it opens. Did this work before? Yes 60.* Chrome version: 61.0.3163.100 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.13.0 Flash Version: I see this as a security issue as I have no idea what Chrome is doing with my webcam or microphone because I know I did not initiate any service that would require access to these devices. |
