::before has inconsistent styles on load

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.100 Safari/537.36 Example URL: https://jsfiddle.net/wpjL0vzm/ Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. go to the provided jsFiddle linkn 2. Click the button 3. See that the style for the ::before content changes (a space is added) What is the expected behavior? The space should always be there when the page loads What went wrong? There is no spacing between content in the ::before pseudo element and the span when the page loads. There should be some spacing, as it has been in the previous version of chrome. You can also see the correct behavior in the current version of safari Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? Able to reproduce the issue and is a regression broken in M61, below are the bisect details for the same: Bisect Info: ============ Goog Build: 61.0.3145.0 Bad Build: 61.0.3146.0 Using per revision bisect below is the change log obtained: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+log/203a2bad8062d170441af80f574e897bc586f180..7c44da721a59e6aa0b9fdcddb314175cb1e0123f @ rune: Could this be caused by your change, request you to please take a look into it. Note: Unable to reproduce the issue on market Beta# 62.0.3202.38. Appears to be fixed on it. Issue is seen on Windows, mac and Linux OS for M61. Thanks.!
