Connecting to my 5GHz wifi AP causes Chromebook to crash

Project Member Reported by dmargolis@google.com, Oct 2 2017

Issue description

Chrome Version: 60.0.3112.114 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Chrome OS Version:9592.96.0 (Official Build) stable-channel samus
Chrome OS Platform: Samus (Pixel 2)
Network info: UPC Cablecom Compal CH7465

Please specify Cr-* of the system to which this bug/feature applies (add
the label below).

Steps To Reproduce:
(1) Connect to the 5GHz access point configured on the router

Expected Result:

Connection works. Or doesn't work.

Actual Result:

Chromebook hard-reboots.

How frequently does this problem reproduce? Always

What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is
it? Horrible. None.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screen shot or
log if possible.

This doesn't produce a crash report, so I don't know how to help debug. :(

Could you please try attaching debug logs from the device?
The steps would be:
(1) Go to chrome://net-internals/#chromeos
(2) Press "Store Debug Logs"
This should create a .tgz file.

Thanks!

Unfortunately I had to do a factory reset for a different issue and now
this issue does not reproduce. (Which is weird, because it did reproduce
after the first time I did a factory reset.) If I can reproduce this I will
share debug logs.
