Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open url https://jsfiddle.net/f5gya04u/ in Android Chrome 2. Click play on the audio controls and the Loaded alert appears. 3. The same url shows alert immediately after the audio is loaded in other browsers, including Desktop Chrome. What is the expected behavior? onloadeddata event should fire as soon as the audio data is loaded. What went wrong? onloadeddata event is firing at playback start, instead of at the end of load. Did this work before? Yes Chrome 60 Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 61.0.3163.98 Channel: stable OS Version: 7.1 Flash Version:

I tried on both 61.0.3163.79 and 63.0.3230.0 and could not replicate. The audio pop up does display but as soon as the page loads (same as sandeepkumars@ video). This is the correct behavior as Chrome is pre-loading the video so onloadeddata is being called when it has loaded the video.

@gutta.kiran: Could you please take a look at comment #3 and give us the update. Thanks!!

Most likely, this issue has been filed with Chrome Android running with Data Saver on. This will block preloading the player until the playback actually starts, thus delaying the 'loadeddata' event. This is actually working as intended. |
