Try setting the following flags to "Disabled":
chrome://flags/#browser-side-navigation
chrome://flags/#enable-mojo-loading

Please apply the settings mentioned in c#1.
Unfortunately those did not fix the issue. Still have problems rendering the pages (pages open as HTMl (no CSS)) approx. 20% of the time and there is no automatic refresh on things such as Facebook notifications and emails on gmail.com

Doesn't gmail.com use simple html if the network or the computer is too slow to handle css?

Can you try with Chrome beta or canary?
Haven't tried w/ Beta yet. Will do that today. Please see attached screenshot (most pages initially load like this and only go back to "normal" after a refresh). My current internet speed is 200mbps and the computer isn't slow at all (2.9GHz Core i5 + 8GB RAM).

Thanks for the screenshot. I'll wait until you try out beta.
I'll post back by next Wednesday with any updates. Going to use Beta for a bit and see if I run into any issues. Thanks for the help

I am having a similar issue. When I try to load dome pages, they are completely or partially blank. Take Google Sheets for example (screenshot attached). There were issues on other site, but I forgot to get a screenshot of them.
