Video Issue with Chrome 64-bit and VDA 7.15 (Virtual Delivery Agent in Citrix VDI)

Project Member Reported by c...@chromium.org, Sep 28 2017

Issue description

Version 60 Chrome Browser on Windows (stable build)

Confirmed by design Citrix self-view won't work with 64Bit Chrome in VDI.

Customer performed test and it works fine with Chrome 32Bit. In order to further work on this issue, Citrix is seeking support from google to work with them to make necessary code modification from Citrix and Chrome Browser Team to get the video calling work with 64Bit Chrome Browser in Citrix VDI.

There are 2 issues here.

1. We worked with citrix and found Hangouts video calling works only with google chrome 32 bit browser alone. Its by design that citrix redirection works now only with 32 bit browser, that's the reason why it didn't work with google chrome 64 bit browser. we have also raised an enhancement request with citrix to modify the design to make (WEBCAM) redirection work with google chrome 64 bit browser.

2. Even in 32 bit chrome browser, with google hangouts we have to make a small tweak to make self view work, that's by disabling and enabling the video button after initiating the call, else the self view wont work. we need google support help to fix this issue, so that as soon as the video call is initiated, users would be able to see self-view, without having to disable/enable video button.

I hope this clarification helps. kindly reach me if anything additional on this issue is required

Thanks
