@Reporter: could not reproduce the issue on the reported chrome version stable 60.0.3112.113, latest stable 61.0.3169.100 and on latest canary 63.0.3226.0 using Windows 10 and Ubuntu 14.04 Attaching the screen cast for reference. Could you please retry adding the extensions by clearing the cookies or even by creating a new profile in the chrome. Thanks!

I removed cookies and created a new profile but I get the same error. Of course you can not reproduce the error, it has to do with the system. This is a new install of chromium and I suspect something about permissions or sandboxing. Where should I look? Maybe I can find a difference between the two accounts, but I can't imagine what. I did not mess up with anything.
