Issue descriptionChrome Version: 61.0.3163.100 OS Version: OS X 10.12.6 URLs (if applicable) : https://codepen.io/lumio/pen/OxpNLK Other browsers tested: Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Opera 47: FAIL Safari 11: OK Firefox 55: OK IE 11: OK Edge 40: OK What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Add a text node to DOM, in this example: "Ant" 2. Set font-size to 3em 2. Set blur-radius of text-shadow between 56 and 62px. In this example I used `text-shadow: 0px 50px 58px #000;` What is the expected result? A very blurred text shadow (see image text-shadow-OK.png) What happens instead of that? Text is not as blurry as in other browsers and also lightens or skips certain letters. (see image text-shadow-FAIL.png) UserAgentString: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.100 Safari/537.36

Rechecked this issue on Chrome version 61.0.3163.100 on Windows 10, Mac 10.12.6, Ubuntu 14.04 and able to reproduce it. Issue is a non regression when compared to Firefox as seeing the dark shadow on M50 builds (50.0.2624.0) as well. Untriaged it so that issue gets addressed. Thanks.!

Looks fine on Windows Version 62.0.3202.38 (Official Build) beta (64-bit) and Linux similar version. Closing because we will not merge any fix back to M-61. Could be related to hardware vs. software rendering. If this is software raster then re-open.
