Issue descriptionApp Version: 63.0.3219.0 canary iOS Version:9.3.5 only Device : iPhone 5,5s URL: Chrome Settings -- Bookmarks Precondition : 1.Go to chrome://flags --> Bookmark New Generation iOS : Enabled. 2.Have few bookmarks saved Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch chrome 2. Tap on Bookmarks icon > Tap on Mobile bookmarks. 3. Tap on Select at the bottom. 4. Use Swipe to move the bookmarks position. Hi mardini@ , what is the expected behavior when "New Folder"'s naming is being interrupted: (A) New Folder is created as "New Folder" regardless of what folder name user entered. (B) New Folder is created with what user entered. (if user entered a invalid name, "New Folder" will be used) In the following cases: 1. clicking on "Done" - Current behavior is (A) 2. clicking on "Back" (if not at root) - Current behavior is (A) 3. clicking on other folder/url - Current behavior is (A) 4. clicking on "New Folder" - Current behavior is (A) 5. clicking on "Select" - This bug. Should I choose (A) or (B)? thx.

Hi Marti, The behaviour should be the same as how the creation of a new folder behaves in Finder on MacOS. Basically, (B) for everything. i.e. if the user has started entering a name, even if one letter, we should preserve it. If not, then leave it as "New Folder"

Check box disappearing is fixed by crrev.com/c/706750. The "naming new folder" interruption cases will be handled in another bug. |
