cannot copy from some webpages

Issue description

Chrome Version      Version 60.0.3112.113 (Official Build) (64-bit)
URLs (if applicable) : nytimes.com
Other browsers tested:
  Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
     Opera: PASS (Version)
    Firefox: FAIL (Version)
        Edge: PASS  (Version)


What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1)click and drag across text
(2)
(3)

What is the expected result?
possible to right click context menu and copy text

What happens instead?
nothing and/or other actions from webpage, depending on where text is located on page

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

(Interesting that it happens on firefox, too. It's  frustrating enough that I may change default browser to opera.  thanks)

Unable to reproduce this issue on reported version 60.0.3112.113 , on latest canary 63.0.3223.8 using windows 10,Ubuntu 14.04,Mac 10.12.6 with steps mentioned below.

1.Navigated to  nytimes.com and selected some text.
2.Righ clicked and selected copy , Pasted into omnibox
3.Observed successful paste of copied text. Attaching screencast for reference.

@Reporter: Could you please let us know whether we missed anything ? Or Could you please check the same on fresh profile which has no extensions and apps.

If you're seeing this behavior (unselectable text) in multiple browsers, it's possible that this is intentional on the part of the web page author. The user-select property allows pages to make text unselectable and this is enforced by the browser.

Status: WontFix (was: Unconfirmed)
Unable to reproduce the issue on Windows 10 and Mac OS 10.13.3. on the latest Stable 66.0.3359.181.
And as there is no response/Feedback from the reporter for a long time, closing this issue and marking it as Won't fix.

@Reporter: Please feel to raise a new issue if there are any issues with chrome.
