Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. chrome://extensions/ 2. click "Details" for any extension, or trash can for uninstall 3. browser hang, need to use killall chrome What is the expected behavior? Not hanging the browser What went wrong? Managing extensions hangs the browser. As mentioned, clicking on Details hangs the browser. Even worse, trying to uninstall any of the extensions by clicking on the trash can icon also hangs the browser. chrome://apps is bugged for me as well. If I right click any of the icons and click "App info" or if I try removing the app, browser hangs. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 61.0.3163.100 (Official Build) (64-bit) Channel: stable OS Version: Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS Flash Version: 27.0.0.130 I've tried creating a new profile, and I've also checked Chromium instead of Chrome. Same problems with 61.0.3163.79 Chromium, first time install.

Hi! I've spent some time debugging this and I've figured it out what's the issue. I tried #63.0.3218.0 with a fresh install like you suggested and I also deleted my user files from ~/.config and ~/.cache. After some tries, I noticed that I was getting different results on different monitors (I have a laptop with 2 external monitors). The issue is that when you click on "Details", a frame pops out which is not always displayed on the screen. It's not actually a hang, it's a display issue depending on display settings. The frame is waiting for input, but it can't be clicked. In particular, it's a problem related to the "Scale for menu and title bars" under Display settings. If this setting is relatively high, the frame is not displayed even when the main window is maximized over the entire screen. For example, if I set this to 1.5 to both of my external monitors and I leave it at 1.0 for the laptop screen, the frame doesn't get displayed if open Chrome on one of my external monitors (Dell 24'' 1920x1200). Here's two screenshots to illustrate the issue. On the first screenshot, I've just clicked "Details" and there is no pop-up frame even though there is plenty of space to display it. Chrome is maximized over the entire screen. However, if I resize Chrome's window and actually make it smaller, the frame suddenly appears (second screenshot).
