Save password for about:blank? |
|||
Issue descriptionA dialog asking me to save a password for about:blank appeared. I was logged out of corp https://inbox.google.com, as periodically happens, and the dialog just appeared. I think it was before I'd even entered a password. Google Chrome 61.0.3163.91 (Official Build) (64-bit) Revision 2f544949507dc5330b714cb017e3f584e791a1bf-refs/branch-heads/3163@{#1194} OS Mac OS X

Alex has disabled prompting for `about:blank`. Do we need to merge that back?

It seems like there is no severe reason to merge Alex's https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/658157 (which landed in 63.0.3222.0). Therefore I'm closing this as Fixed. The second issue highlighted in #1, i.e., that Chrome proposes to save a password which the user does not remember typing, may still be open. If you find good reproduction steps for that, please file a new bug. Thanks! |
