Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.91 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open new tab 2. Start typing What is the expected behavior? Omnibox is cleared with what you are typing What went wrong? Omnibox gets prepended with text Did this work before? Yes Chrome 60 Chrome version: 61.0.3163.91 Channel: stable OS Version: Fedora 25 Flash Version: It's become extremely frustrating to use Chrome since I updated today. Normally I open a tab and just start typing but that's causing me to have a lot of bad searches. For instance, I normally just type "y" and hit enter to go to youtube, not I get to a Google search for "yhttps://google.com..."

@krb-- Could you please confirm if this is similar to issue 752794 and we can dupe into this. Thanks!

Yes, this is fixed, but was not considered severe enough for merge to 61. lmanning, this only happens when you have some sort of custom new-tab-page. Removing it should restore your "y<enter>" to go to YouTube.
