Vadim, who was the customer for this?

I believe we have some poller that watch for a appearance of a git tag in chromium/src.

E.g. https://chrome-internal.googlesource.com/chrome/tools/build/+/master/masters/master.chromeos_release/master.cfg#282

but I'm not sure how exactly it is used. 

I guess we can ignore it for now until a real need appears.
