Did this work before? Yes not sure - approx 2 weeks ago

Chrome version: 61.0.3163.91 (Official Build) (64-bit) Channel: n/a
OS Version: OS X 10.11.4
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 27.0 r0

Hi, please could you help.

I am the designer/developer for these sites, I am also webmaster for them.

I am having issues with my clients' websites where a simple javascript gallery will not display in Chrome on both my macs and my PCs. No error comes up but content is just blank. Two site that use this gallery are;

http://www.jamestatumartist.com/gallery.html
http://www.passmore-yacht-upholstery.co.uk/gallery.html

Neither are https but they don't need to be as there are no forms, etc.

Please could you help as I don't know how to resolve this and keep my clients happy. These galleries are old tech but should still work, and do perfectly on the following;

Safari (mac + windows 8)
IE (windows 8)
Firefox (mac + windows 8)

The problem is specific to Chrome only on both mac + pc.

Many thanks

Alexander

These sites are using flash and the fallback doesn't seem to be working. If you enable flash they do work correctly.

I'd look at why the fallback doesn't work anymore.

Tested the issue on Mac OS 10.12.6 and windows 7 using chrome M61 #61.0.3163.91 and M63 #63.0.3221.0 and observed similar behavior in firefox browser too. And tested in M59 #59.0.3071.115 and observed similar behavior.

Attached screencast for reference.

As mentioned in comment #1 , flash is enabled then the second site loads and images are displayed.

@scheeledesign-- Could you please try enabling your flash and update your observations with the screencast for better understanding.

Thanks!

Thank you for your response. I have had to replace the gallery system on http://www.jamestatumartist.com with an HTML5 gallery.

The problem persists on;
http://www.passmore-yacht-upholstery.co.uk/gallery.html

The only solution it seems is to ask users to enable Flash which is unacceptable.
Users will not have time, or in many cases, know how to do this.

Appreciate your help

Thanks
