Regression : 'Back' button is not working in 'Please wait' screen of Sign-In page

Chrome Version: 61.0.3163.96/9765.66.0 beta-channel Daisy,Kip and Reks
OS: Chrome

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1)In Sign-in screen enter valid credentials i.e. Enter Email Id and Password
(2)Click on 'NEXT' button -> Navigates to 'Please wait' screen and now click on 'Back' button to cancel Sign-in 
(3)Observe unable to click on 'Back' button i.e. 'Back' button is not working (Please refer video)

Expected: 
On clicking 'Back' button  Signing into account should get cancelled 
(or)
'Back' button should be seen disabled
(or) 
'Back' button should not be available after entering valid credentials (In 'Please wait' screen)

Actual: Instead On clicking 'Back' button nothing happens i.e. 'Back' button is not working

This is Regression issue as same is working fine in M-58

@wzang : Please confirm the Issue

Note: Issue is also seen on latest M-63

alemate@, can we choose among the three options?

Expected: 
On clicking 'Back' button  Signing into account should get cancelled 
(or)
'Back' button should be seen disabled
(or) 
'Back' button should not be available after entering valid credentials (In 'Please wait' screen)
