Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.91 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Start microsoft office 2016 application (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) 2. Start a screen sharing session 3. Select the "window selection" tab What is the expected behavior? The opened application should appear in the window selection tab. What went wrong? The opened application did not appear in the window selection tab. Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? N/A Chrome version: 61.0.3163.91 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: This does not happen every time. Sometimes the application shows up, sometimes it does not. Might or might not have to do with this: I have also experienced the application disappearing from the window selector tab when I minimize it, and appear again when I maximize it (see animated gif).

Tested the issue on reported version 61.0.3163.91 and on latest canary 63.0.3220.0 using windows 10 and is reproducible with below steps. 1.Opened Microsoft word . Opened chrome and Added screencastify extension from webstore[ https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/screencastify-screen-vide/mmeijimgabbpbgpdklnllpncmdofkcpn?hl=en ] 2.Clicked on start recording and observed screenshare options with Microsoft word 3.Now navigated to Word and minimized it. Now opened screenshare option and observed no Word Present. From M50.[50.0.2661.0] series this issue is seen. i.e;Only when Microsoft Word is maximized it is seen in screenshare option else it is not seen. NOTE: Issue is seen on Linux with LibreOfffice default app for linux As this is seen from M50, considering this as Non-Regression and hence marking as Untriaged.

Minimized windows are not shown since they don't have any content we could display. i.e. the OS doesn't draw those windows. I realize that the normal user actually wants an "application sharing" rather than the window, but that's not possible now.

Shouldn't anyway still opened running applications be selectable? This is not always the case. |
