Unable to reproduce the issue on Win-10 using chrome reported version #61.0.3163.91. Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue. ------------ 1. Opened chrome browser and navigated to google news. 2. Pressed Ctrl. + P for printing the page. 3. From the available options for printer, chose "Google cloud printer" and clicked "print" button. 4. Selected "diplomatico-color" printer available at cloud and clicked "print" button. 5. Observed that the page got printed without any issues and did not observe any "PWG ERROR - Disconnected from Host". Note: Specifications of printer tested: Ricoh - Diplomatioco-color- MP C4503 Adding the label TE-Hardware-Dependency due to the unavailability of printer Samsung - Xpress SL-C467W with TE-India team and hence, adding label TE-NeedsTriageFromMTV for further investigation from MTV team if the particular hardware mentioned in comment #0 is available with them. Thanks...!!

Where is the "PWG ERROR" coming from? Can you attach a screenshot? What is the "Printer ID" on https://www.google.com/cloudprint#printers ? Select the printer, press the details button, and look under advanced details.

I am having the same exact issue when printing to Dell bw1163w mono laser printer. We have 10 of these at our schools and this started happening about 1 week ago. Since it was working fine for 3+ years before this. It has to be some issue with cloud print or chrome. Let me know if you want additional info. Thanks, -Bill

This forum thread also is about a "PWG Error" https://productforums.google.com/forum/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=footer#!msg/chrome/OJAWhdn6rsI/XorYkS7mAwAJ However, the description is different, this one has "Incomplete Session by time out." The user mentions that the error seems to only happen on one Google profile, while the printer can print just fine from another profile. Screenshot is attached.

According to the database, the printer with the id at comment #5 is a version 1.0 cloud-ready printer, so it doesn't support direct document delivery on local network, but only through the cloud. Comment #7: Chromebooks should never send documents in PWG-raster format to the cloud. I doubt it is the case, and if that happens it is a violation of out protocol. The conversion to PWG-raster happens in the cloud. The PWG-raster format is very simple and it is very unlikely that a PWG-raster document is generated incorrectly, if the original document is valid. Usually something happens during document transfer, like disconnections, etc... which are hard to recover from because PWG-raster documents are streamed.

paolof: After the PWG raster conversion happens in the cloud, does the server then send the PWG data to the printer in comment #5? Do you have any logs to see what happened to those jobs? philippe: Is your printer on WiFi? Does it have an Ethernet port? If yes, can you see if switching to Ethernet makes a difference? I've been chatting with Bill offline and suggested the same. If there's flaky WiFi, that could cause this.

There's no log information on the server that is relevant in this case.
,
Oct 27 2017
Can logging be added on the server side to help track down what is going wrong, if the bug reporter(s) are willing to try again to reproduce the problem?
,
Oct 27 2017
No unfortunately no significant logging can be done on the server in document streaming.
