Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.79 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Download it in Chrome 50/60. 2. Add bookmarks and set thumbnails 3. Export your bookmarks from the extension. 4. Update Chrome to 61.X 5. Importar bookmarks What is the expected behavior? Bookmarks should be imported with thumbnails What went wrong? We are dealing with a user case (https://productforums.google.com/d/msg/chrome-es/JS0-ZFnl3qQ/u3JXJiv_AgAJ). He've attached a json fragment where you can see that thumbnail base64 image is there. And the screenshot with result (Attached in the issue summary). In the extension's review page, a lot of users are reporting the same issue: after update Chrome to V. 61 thumbnails are missing. I'm not sure if crbugs is the best place to report it, but, i couldn't found another place to report that. Thanks!

Tested on latest stable #61.0.3163.91. Canary #63.0.3218.0 on Windows 7, Mac 10.12.6 and Ubuntu 14.04 and able to reproduce the issue. This is a non-regression issue and able to reproduce from M-50 #50.0.2624.0. Marking it as untriaged so that issue gets addressed. Attached the screencast for reference. I've reported this bug to the internal Google team responsible for the extension as b/68398226, so that they can address it. Marking this WontFix since the issue is beyond the scope of Chrome's codebase. |
