Consider starting autoplay muted videos with controls hidden. |

Issue descriptionIf you check out m.facebook.com you'll notice that all of their autoplay videos have a nasty controls flash at the beginning. I don't think that initial flash is that valuable and I think the UX would be improved if the controls started hidden in the muted autoplay case. I think they could workaround this by always setting no controls, or possibly by setting the controls attribute on later after playback start. Another solution might be to fade out the controls instead of winking them out of existence.

This happens even when the video is click-to-play and not muted. I agree the sudden flash is bad. I think a slow removal of the controls is the best experience, which will hopefully be the default with the new controls.
