Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu Chromium/60.0.3112.113 Chrome/60.0.3112.113 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Click your name in top right 2. Click on another account 3. Whole browser crashes Also, when in another user, the internet doesn't work. No steps, its just not connected. What is the expected behavior? It should open the manage people window etc. I can however access the screen from chrome settings. Also, in another user, the internet should work. What went wrong? The browser crashes when trying to open another user from the top right user button, and the internet doesn't work for secondary users. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 60.0.3112.113 Channel: n/a OS Version: Ubuntu 16.04 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 26.0 r0 If this is repetitive, it is because I'm filling in all the boxes as asked. Sorry if I should have filed two separate issues.

Thank you for responding. I still have the issue, but when going to chrome://chrashes. it says 'Crash reporting is not available in Chromium.' Chromium is not asking me to update, so I assumed I was on the latest version, but maybe that's because ubuntu's repos are behind. I am running Ubuntu 16.04, but I doubt it would make that much difference.

I have switched to chromiums repositories, updated (now on 61.0.3163.79) and the multi user ui chrashing problem has gone. The problem about the internet hasn't. Should this be closed and another opened? or is just leaving this open fine. I will also try closing primary user, deleting and re-adding user etc.

OK, another update, I tried adding another user, signed in with my other account, and the internet is fine. I then deleted the one that wasn't working, added it, signed in (with the account that wasn't working earlier) and the internet isn't working. May I add that the account that isn't working is controlled by my school. When signing in on chromebooks etc at school, the internet works.

I have a couple of questions: 1. Could you please clarify what do you mean by "internet isn't working"? What URL do you open to check it and what error does it produce? 2. 'Crash reporting is not available in Chromium.' suggests that you're using Chromium instead of Chrome. Having crashdump could help in debugging this issue. Can you try reproducing the crash in Chrome?

1. Any url, for example typing in a query to google, or actually google.co.uk. For a url, I get the bt webaddresshelp page, except it only displays 'Error' For a google search, I get: This site can’t be reached The web page at https://www.google.com/search?q=test&oq=test&aqs=chrome..69i57.779j0j7&client=ubuntu&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&safe=active&ssui=on might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED Screenshots attached. 2. This issue has been resolved since I have moved to Chromium's repositories instead of Ubuntu's.

I'm going to close this out as WontFix since you've resolved the issue

OK, and should I then create another issue about the internet not working on my school account? (after of course updating and trying again)

Sorry for not getting back earlier, I recently spoke to the network manager at my school, and they confirmed that it was an issue to do with proxies and the school as they use one, and it will be fixed by the end of the month. |
