Setup DHCP server chromeos-ddns3.cbf |
||||||
Issue descriptionDue to unexpected cluster issue, chromeos-ddns2.cbf will be turned off soon. This instance is used as failover of chromeos-ddns1.mtv. Please help to have chromeos-admin repo working on chromeos-ddns3.cbf

puppet/facterlib/server_type.rb: when /chromeos-ddns.*\..*/; 'dhcp-server' We already have puppet role to provision a dhcp-server. "chromeos-ddns3.cbf" matches that pattern, so it can be just provisioned as a regular lab server, then puppet will take care of the rest.

Does the server just need puppet running on it to get picked up? I don't see any of the other chromeos-ddns.* servers in an other configuration files in the chromeos-admin repository.

yes, the role setting will make sure the server run_puppet with correct role. You can manually kick off run_puppet on the server to see if it gets the correct role. We no longer use nagios, so there are no hosts.cfg changes to add new server.

Any progress?
