Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.113 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. add "chrome://thumb/" to permissions in manifest.json What is the expected behavior? Access to thumbnails What went wrong? Gives error "Invalid scheme for 'permissions[chrome://thumb/]'." WebStore page: Did this work before? No Chrome version: 60.0.3112.113 Channel: n/a OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Could return the thumbnails with chrome.topSites.get if that's better

We don't typically want to give extensions access to chrome://-scheme URLs for security reasons, and given the NTP no longer uses thumbnails, I don't know how much longer chrome://thumb will be supported. Because of that, I'm going to close this out. |
