Loading unpacked extension delete the folder

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3210.0 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open a folder by "Load unpacked extension..." 2. Extension not appear in the list 3. The folder is deleted from the system What is the expected behavior? It work before What went wrong? The folder is deleted from the system Did this work before? Yes It just happen today Chrome version: 63.0.3210.0 Channel: canary OS Version: OS X 10.12.6 Flash Version: I can provide video screen shot if necessary

Just update and still have issue. Please see attached screenshot which show the folder was deleted by loading as unpacked extension. I have been using Canary for debugging the extension for many years on the same folder and never happen before. BTW, it happen on this computer (MacOS Serria 10.12.6 (16G29)) only.

@Reporter: Could you please confirm if this happens with any specific extension or happens with all the extensions. If possible, please attach any such sample extension for further triaging

The issue only happen only on _that_ computer and _that_ extension. It is very specific. Just to give you this feedback, I load a similar extension and delete it. Then load _that_ extension and no longer deleted. Thanks for the fix. :-)

As per the above comments, the extension is no longer deleted and the seems to be fixed. Closing this issue as won't fix |
