Page crashes after lots of odd zooming and scrolling gyrations |
||||||||
Issue descriptionM63 dev channel, M61 stable iOS10 iPad Load https://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-survive-the-equifax-data-breach-2017/ Page loads weirdly, jumps around, scrolls to bottom. Left alone for a few seconds to finish, the renderer crashes with Aw Snap. 100% repeatable. Loads just fine in Safari and isn't strangely zoomed in while loading. It's unfortunate, because this is a very good article for the Equifax data breach. I've seen other CNet pages have similar behavior. Do we need to reach out to CNet from the evangelism perspective? Who is a good contact?

I don't know how we can make this Pri-1 unless we know what's going on. Let's investigate a bit more and then set priority.

Works fine with iPad Pro, iOS 10.1, Chrome 63.0.3205.0 dev and Chromium ToT. The page indeed jumps, but that's because web site dynamically adds elements to the top of the page. Pink, could it be that the problem was fixed on the web site? Or maybe you have older device? Could you please update this bug with your more information (iOS version, device model).

Lindsay, could you please ask QA to investigate this issue. Per comment #3 I can repro, but it looks like Pink uses the same device and OS version.

Looks like they fixed the content to be less user-hostile. |
