Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.79 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: Create a <select> element with multiple <option> elements. Add a mousedown, mouseup, and click event handler to the <select> element. Observe that all three events are called when clicking the <select> for the first time (opening it). Click the <select> element again (the first option item) to close it, and observe that all three events are called (this is expected). The issue is this: Click the select element again to open it, then choose an option different from the currently selected option. You will see that only a mouseup and onclick event are triggered, no mousedown event is triggered. What is the expected behavior? Clicking / chaning an option in the <select> element should fire a mousedown, mouseup, and click event. What went wrong? No mousedown event is triggered when choosing an option in the select menu. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 61.0.3163.79 Channel: stable OS Version: Windows 7 x64 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 26.0 r0 See https://jsfiddle.net/mvpjrxur/3/ for a demo of the issue. Able to reproduce the issue on windows 7 & 10 using chrome stable M61 #61.0.3163.79 and canary M63 #63.0.3212.0 . This is a Non-regression issue seen from M52 and in M50 unable to select the item from dropdown through mouse click and only keyboard arrow icons are helpful in selecting dropdown list. Note : Issue is not seen on Linux and as per comment #1 , in mac couldn't see any of the events. Thanks!

This is about how the events are dispatched to the current window. We have similar issues with right click and the differences between the platforms.
