When some user tries to login directly from commits page, it gives an error in the console and also prevents the user from loggin in. The user can however login successfully from the 'Home' page. 

The error on the console shows that the 'currentUser' attribute is set to null. 

Please note that this error does not occur for all users and there has been only one case of this reported.
