Input textfields do not focus after SSL warning

Reported by sebhendo...@gmail.com, Sep 7 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.113 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Create basic html with <input type='text'> ( the one I used is in the attachment )
2. Run on server as https with "non-trusted" certificate ( I used http-server with the steps in this answer https://stackoverflow.com/a/35231213 )
3. Open page, see "Your connection is not private" warning
4. Click "Advanced > Proceed to ____ (unsafe)"
5. Click on the text box, note that it does not focus

What is the expected behavior?
When you click on the text input, the input should be focused

What went wrong?
After getting an SSL warning, the text inputs do not focus. You cannot see the cursor (although you can still type), any CSS styles in input:focus does not render, and in jquery the $.focus() event never gets fired

Did this work before? N/A

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 60.0.3112.113 Channel: n/a
OS Version: OS X 10.11.6
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 26.0 r0

I am able to reproduce this consistently. If you see the issue, and navigate to a different tab/window and come back, the text inputs start to work as expected. Also if you open or close the console, they start working as expected.

To reproduce again, just click "Not Secure" near the URL and "re-enable warnings", and open the page again in a new tab

Note this only happens after the SSL warning. Any subsequent refresh everything works as expected

Can you see if this still reproduces with Chrome 61 (released a few days ago)? It has some fix to a related issue (no focus after HTTP basic authentication).
Great, just updated my browser and looks like it was fixed!

Thanks a lot.

Great! Thank you for reporting back. You can comment here if you see it again in Chrome 61 and I will re-open it.
