Also can add what Chrome "eat" around 50% of my CPU if harware acceleration is OFF, if im viewing pages like this(https://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree) For example. It is may be old but no so weak(it is about my CPU). I do not have this issue before. With hardware acceleration ON - all fine.

Dunno how can i prove this issue better, but this is prove. Same setting(hardware acceleration OFF), but different versions(as you can see on screenshots) Ver 60 - no squares, 10-15%(depends on amount of open pages) cpu usage without hardware acceleration Ver 61 - squares, 50% cpu usage without hardware acceleration

Maybe this helps - seems like all "heavy" pages force 61.0.3163.79 x64 with hardware acceleration OFF work incorrect. Found same issue in google sheets with 5-10k lines(huge page lags, CPU usage) like i show with POE builder I do not have this issue in ver 60

Unable to reproduce the issue on Win-10 using chrome latest stable #61.0.3163.91 and latest canary #63.0.3215.0. Attached a screen cast and screenshot for reference. Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue. ------------ 1. Opened Google Chrome 2. Navigated to discordapp.com and logged into it. 3. Did not observe any squares on that page. Reporter@ - Could you please check this issue on latest stable #61.0.3163.91 by creating a new profile without any apps and extensions and please let us know if the issue still persist or not. Could someone from Internals>GPU team please have a look into the issue. Thanks...!!

Retried the issue on Windows 7 using the latest Canary 63.0.3218.0 and latest Stable 61.0.3163.91 and can observe no squares on the page after logged into discordapp.com site. Tried this issue with Hardware Acceleration On and Off. Can observe no squares on the page in both the cases. Adding 'TE-NeedsTriageHelp' for further help in this issue and requesting GPU team to look into this issue. Thanks..

I believe what you're seeing is a difference in rendering between tiles that Chrome identifies as solid color, vs tiles that have content. We had a known issue with this in Chrome 61. drymind93, if possible, can you try this latest Chrome Canary (63), I belive this issue should be fixed there. As a follow-up question, do you know if you have a custom color-profile installed for your monitor?

In particular, this looks to be a duplicate of issue 768724 .

Marking as fixed based on #18. I'm guessing this to have been issue 764352 . |
