This is probably related to changes in the M62 Origin Trial.

This is caused by the removal of window.requestActionFrame, confirmed by testing with https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/1b6a5e96191538ad8a4e0918a14b8724016b4d27 reverted.

Also noticed that the click on the application does not work, which means that application also needs to be updated to use the Gamepad API.

Update - this still repros on Chrome 64.0.3274.0

Still repros on build 66.0.3355.0 on Pixel 2 with Android 8.1.0.
Using the "Try without a headset" link works and shows what should happen.
Using the ENTER VR launching the site but it gets stuck after initial display. Clicking around doesn't do anything.
