Content editable div styled :first-letter delete the paragraph when backspace is pressed

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.113 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Styling a content editable div :first-letter
2. When writing a text and hit backspace the whole paragraph is gonna be deleted instead of only the last letter

What is the expected behavior?
When I hit backspace it should only delete the last letter

What went wrong?
When I hit backspace at the end of the line it deletes the whole paragraph instead of only the last letter

Able to reproduce this issue on Windows-10, Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac OS 10.12.6 using chrome latest stable #61.0.3163.79 by following steps mentioned in the original comment.

This issue is observed on older version of chrome M50-50.2624.0 as well, marking it as untriaged for further updates. Issue is not seen on Firefox browser.
