Caroline failed to switch to tablet mode when tilted first

On ToT:

Repro step:
1) Tilt the device fist
2) then fold into tablet mode

expected.
 switch to talbet mode

actual
 stay in clamshell mode

Eve does not have this problem.

It may be related to crbug.com/741939.

This is a known issue and is caused by the fact that our accelerometers have no data when vertically aligned. 

+Alberto mentioned that they are thinking of using magnesistors (or however you spell them) to solve these problems in a casual chat.

Eve doesn't have the problem because it has a separate tablet mode sensor to detect when the screen is folded behind the base. Caroline (and Kevin) do not have this sensor and therefore only rely on the lid angle calculations from the accelerometers (which are unreliable when the device is vertically aligned).
