"logdog://" protocol could link to a log in Chrome.

Project Member Reported by shrike@chromium.org, Sep 5 2017

Issue description

Chrome Version: (copy from chrome://version)
OS: (e.g. Win7, OSX 10.9.5, etc...)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Go to logdog://luci-logdog.appspot.com/chromium/bb/chromium.Linux/Android_Tests/45532/+/recipies/annotations

What is the expected result?
I expect to see a page of LogDog output.

What happens instead?
My browser performs a search for "logdog://luci-logdog.appspot.com/chromium/bb/chromium.Linux/Android_Tests/45532/+/recipies/annotations". The end result is a Google search results page.

Summary: "logdog://" protocol could link to a log in Chrome. (was: LogDog links don't link to LogDog output)
"logdog" is not a browser protocol, so it's not surprising at all that this wouldn't work.

A Chrome extension could solve this, but I'm not planning on making one ATM. I'll mark this as a nice-to-have P3 in case someone wants to do this at some time.

We have no plans to support this in Chrome, as an extension or otherwise. Of course, if someone makes and maintains such an extension, it'd be nice.
