I would like to mention that iOS now has a QR Code scanner built into its camera, which is the ideal solution. As such, this feature in Chrome is redundant on iOS, but is (IMO) sorely needed on the majority of Android phones - the camera isn't a standard app on Android, nor are any 'standard' apps, but I imagine Chrome is the most installed app on phones, and it, together with Samsung Internet and WeChat (which both have one built in), would cover the vast majority of phones.

I noticed that 'Lens' can scan qr-codes, but it only works when online, so that is (mostly) useless for scanning wifi qr-codes. Android really needs a qr-code scanner that is both built-in and works offline.
