Issue descriptionChrome Version : 60.0.3112.113 (Official Build) (64-bit) URLs (if applicable) : OS version : macOS Sierra (version 10.12.6) Behavior in Safari (if applicable): Behavior in Firefox (if applicable): What steps will reproduce the problem? 1)Open gmail.com in incognito window/normal window on chrome browser. 2)Enter credentials. 3)Download a sample document from one of the email. 4)Now at the bottom bar you see it is downloaded on the chrome Browser. 5)Immediately Go to the finder section and then to "Downloads" folder. 6)You will see the "sample_document_fileextension" which is appended with "crdownload". 7)It will not not download the file at all.It stays like that forever. 8)It cannot even remove the file at all. When trying to remove the file it says "The operation can’t be completed because one or more required items can’t be found. (Error code -43)" What is the expected result? The "Downloaded file" should be accessible immediately from the downloads folder. What happens instead? You will see the "sample_document_fileextension" which is appended with "crdownload" It will not not download the file at all.It stays like that forever. There is a workaround for this If you click on the "show in Finder" for the file which is downloaded at above step 4. We can access that file For graphics-related bugs, please copy/paste the contents of the about:gpu page at the end of this report.

Somehow, Unable to reproduce the issue on the reported version: 60.0.3112.113 on Mac OS 10.12.6(Retina) and MacBook Air OS 10.12.6. Downloading the text file downloaded the file without any exceptions. suman.madavapeddi@: Could you please confirm if this issue is seen across all the PDF/doc files being downloaded or with any specific file. If possible, please attach the file if its file specific. Note: Found an old Issue 580906 reported with similar behavior.

If we can't repro, can we add metrics to figure out if/how this is happening in the wild?

it looks like the download is actually successful, however, the renaming failed. I checked the code that we do rename, but didn't find any possible culprits. |
