divya.padigela@: thanks for reporting. Chrome should be able to save passwords even without username. What if user has to save the password on a change password form without username? Chrome should offer to save the password despite the username is unknown. Since https://codereview.chromium.org/2915763003 (manual fallback for saving), expectations from the password manager changed. Once a user typed non-empty value into a password field, the icon in omnibox and a prompt should be available. It is better to be able to save password anytime than to miss a submission and don't save a password. |
