pchalla@, could you pls confirm cloud print works on Windows (Beta version 61.0.3163.59)?

It was working in July.

Verified this issue on Chrome beta 61.0.3163.59 beta

Observed the user is not able to switch the accounts, it always directing to Primary user account. Please refer the attached screenshot.

I tried to see the shared printers with different account in chrome browser then I noticed this behavior.

NOTE: It is working good in 62.0.3198.0 dev build.

Comment 9 by pchalla@google.com, Aug 30 2017

Verified this issue on latest beta build 61.0.3163.71
Used: Windows 10 OS

In this build, I am able to switch the multiple user accounts and can see the owned and shared printers accordingly.

Thank you pchalla@ for testing and confirming this issue is not seen on latest Desktop Beta version 61.0.3163.71.

ketakid@ (Chrome OS M61 TPM), pls let pchalla@ know which build to use for testing on Chrome OS.
If i share directly to user and log into Chromebook it works just not as a group.

Comment 12 by pchalla@google.com, Aug 30 2017

Verified this issue on chromebook 61.0.3163.70 beta

Not seen any issue, it is working good.
Questions:

Is the printer being shared cloud-ready, or is it shared via chrome://devices, or another cloud print connector? (See [1] for reference.)

It may be helpful if you can provide the printer id. (Go to https://www.google.com/cloudprint#printers and select the printer, press the Details button, and click Advanced Details)

Are you sharing the printer using the web interface on https://www.google.com/cloudprint#printers ?

I am using cloud Print. I have tried assigning it to both the root OU and the 2018 OU. I also have shared via the group 2018. No dice. If i share directly to a user then it works.

CCing more folks that may be familiar with the websites in the screenshots.
Awesome.
All are part of CloudPrint.
We're planning to cut M61 Stable RC today for Desktop. Please let us know ASAP if this is M61 Stable blocker for Desktop.

This may be a server side issue and independent of the Chrome browser itself.
The CPanel pages shown on comment 14 is a device setting page. It is to share the CloudPrint printers with the Chromebooks under that OU. To share CloudPrint printers with a group of users, you need to go to https://www.google.com/cloudprint to do it.
I have shared with the 2018@hrstudents.org Group. As shown in 2017-08-30 21_41_18-hrss8 - Remote Desktop Connection.png
no users in this group receive it. But if I add them individually they do get it.
They are also shared via ADMIN console as shown in 2017-08-30 21_38_04-Admin console.png at the Root of the organization. Neither is working.

Assigning to Brian for proper triage.
Looking into this, will report back with info.
Can you confirm you have read and verified the instructions given here:

Note there are a few caveats laid out with setting this up, so please make sure all requirements are met.

Please see Other->Cloud Print section of
https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/1375678?hl=en#other

Additionally, a few questions.

Which OU does the *device* belong to? Note that this is a device level setting, so it shouldn't matter what OU the *user* is in, but the device OU must be correct.

Sorry for the delay.
The printers are shared at the root OU. All Chromebooks are also in the root OU. But hey do not show up.
I verified the information in the Other -> Cloud print section. The reason i added the User part is I tried to share printers as a group as noted in 2017-08-30 21_41_18-hrss8 - Remote Desktop Connection.png But they do not deploy there as a group either.
Once I share to each individual I have no issues.
Thanks,
Rob
