unibuild: work through any kahlee unibuild blockers and re-enable on ToT

For the new Kahlee project, we have CDX03 and Grunt as models now with possibly more coming. It would be good to get unibuild enabled so that this isn't more difficult later.

We think it was disabled due to some firmware build problem. Since we've just done a lot of work in the firmware area, we might be able to turn this back on with minimal effort.
